PALM Corps, in partnership with Welthungerhilfe (WHH) as the lead partner and with funding from the European Union through Enabel, is implementing the GetSet4Biz Project. This 24-month action seeks to enhance and sustain livelihoods for vulnerable refugee and host community youth in Uganda’s West Nile region. The project targets the districts of Arua, Terego, Madi Okollo, and Yumbe, focusing on creating self-employment opportunities, especially in the agricultural sector.
The overall objective of the project is to empower refugee and host community youth, including young women and persons with disabilities (PWDs), through improved access to self-employment opportunities.
To support project implementation, PALM Corps is seeking qualified and committed individuals to serve as Community-Based Enterprise Facilitators (CBEFs).
Duty Stations
Successful candidates will be deployed in the following districts and sub-counties:

Key Roles and Responsibilities
The CBEF will:
- Coach and mentor youth, women, and community groups in business and enterprise development.
- Deliver training on financial literacy, life skills, and entrepreneurship.
- Facilitate knowledge and skills development in agriculture value chains and promote agribusiness opportunities.
- Support market linkages for community-based enterprises.
- Mobilize and guide community groups towards sustainable business ventures.
- Document success stories, challenges, and lessons learned.
- Serve as a role model with integrity, trustworthiness, and good standing in the community.
- Any other assignment for the attainment of the objectives of the project and the vision of PALM Corps.
Required Qualifications and Competencies
- A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Agribusiness, Agriculture, Entrepreneurship, Business Development, or a related field.
- Proven experience in community facilitation, business coaching, or enterprise development.
- Knowledge and skills in financial literacy, agriculture value chains, and market linkages.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and mentorship abilities.
- Experience working with youth, women, and persons with disabilities is an added advantage.
- Good reputation and respect within the local community.
Contract Terms
- This is a 14-month contract, offered in two phases of 7 months each, with renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
