PALM Corps partnership with Welthungerhilfe is implementing the Data-Driven Digital Innovations for Climate Resilience, with iKnowFarm as the main products. The main project objective is to empower Ugandan smallholder farmers by scaling a data-driven agricultural app to improve food and nutrition security, bolster climate resilience, and foster economic development. Wehubit’s (Enabel) support is pivotal in elevating the impact and sustainability of iKnowFarm, empowering smallholder farmers, suppliers, and partners to enhance agriculture, income, and food security.

Expected achievements: Expectation through Enabel grant.
Result 1:
Data-driven content development and scaling: App users successfully facilitate product sales through the app, contributing to increased farmers’ incomes.
Result 2:
Improved climate-resilience through Data-Driven Solutions: The app extends beyond the West Nile region, providing targeted content for climate-vulnerable areas. It promotes sustainable agriculture and land management practices, tailored to farmers’ needs and capacities for easy adoption. The app enables farmers to implement data-driven mitigation strategies and access timely early warning alerts, fostering improved climate resilience.
