
The Refugee and Host Community Youth Empowerment and Transformation Initiative (RETI) program is a Mastercard Foundation supported initiative in line with its Young Africa Works Strategy. The program is implemented by a consortium of nine implementing partners, led by Muni University, including Gulu University, Bishop Stuart University, Finn Church Aid, Dan Church Aid, Community Empowerment for Rural Development, PALM Corps, Meeting Point Kitgum and Young African Refugees for Integral Development (YARID).

About the project
The goal of the program is to support 100,000 (70% refugees, 30% host community, 3% with youth with special needs) from 15 refugee-hosting districts in West Nile, Northern, and Southwestern Uganda to transition 70,000 (60% young women) to dignifying and fulfilling work.
About our trainings
1. Our trainings last for 3 months.
2. Training fees paid to artisans by PALM Corps for 3 months.
3. FREE UVTAB certification.
4. Savings kits for savings groups.
5. Competitive innovation cash grant & start up kits for progressive participants after training.
6. Baby care services for mothers.
7. Basic support to persons with disability during training.
8. Free business support service.
9. Young people are trained using Hands-on skilling with Local Artisans/Vocational Institutions in your community.
10. Available trades are Tailoring, Motorcycle Mechanics, Horticulture, Carpentry, Hairdressing, Building, Welding, Digital Literacy (for S.4+), Phone Repair, Catering.
